Wedding Gowns and Wedding Sarees

Ethnic Trail is committed to authentic ethnic wear for every occasion including life changing ones like a Wedding.
Starting immediately,we will be supplying Wedding Sarees and Engagement Sarees. The different styles will be displayed on the blog and you can choose from the list. Alternatively, send us an email and tell us what you're looking for and we can correspond via email or phone to assist you with procuring a good saree. You can choose to buy a single wedding saree or do a complete wedding shopping for the entire family.
We want you to be able to buy good quality sarees at competitive rates saving you the trouble of wedding saree shopping in India. 
You could save the ticket expenses and have yourself a lavish honeymoon/buy yourself some more gold! (Or in my case, gold biscuits for my husband and platinum for me.)

Keeping this in mind, we are also beginning a sister project of ethnic trail where we will be supplying wedding gowns and services. This will cater mainly to the people living in Malaysia when it comes to services such as make up, but in terms of gowns, we are going global. More info on this project will be discussed shortly.

The page displaying wedding gowns will be up shortly along with a new Facebook page. Please show us your support by 'Like'-ing us on Facebook. We will  let you know when the page goes up.

On an another note, we are will be showcasing a few sarees from a wedding that we took responsibility of supplying sarees to. Of course they told us what they wanted and we sourced it. So that will be up soon as well!

Malaysia

We are in beautiful Malaysia. Landed less than 48 hours ago and already sold almost half of our sarees and material!

The response is fabulous. And the reason is very simple - excellent material and variety at an Indian price!

There was this one place that we showed our sarees to and we left for home; before we reached home, they called and said they wanted to reserve one particular saree. (This is after they'd already bought one that they pre-ordered.)

People are booking their sarees and we are thinking of our next batch of sarees already!! 

The news of our sarees are going viral via word of mouth. We don't have a boutique to display our wares so we drive around and show people our stuff. We are enjoying it. I honestly would love for our customer base to grow simply via word of mouth, personal contact and the internet. Not looking at opening a boutique anytime now.

If you'd read an earlier blog titled "What are we upto??", I had said that we were beginning this journey only with Malaysia for now. 

Well, what can I say, except that the response has been so good we are already expanding. Now we have distributors in Malaysia and the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

We are exploring various shipping and courier options so we can serve you wherever you are. We are looking at the best possible option so you don't have to pay a bomb on shipping.

Ethnic Trail is already global in the space of a few days! Thank you all so much:) We love you!!

Clutches

Over time, clutches have evolved into an integral part of fashion today. Not just for its looks, but also convenience. Especially if a handbag is too bulky for a particular dress or an event. 
According to me, clutches are a stylish fusion between handbags and wallets/purses.

Our funky any-occasion clutches are up now under ACCESSORIES. They are quite cool, even my husband took an instant liking to its style. A definite eye catcher, show stopper (:D!), they come at a very good price.

Sarees

So our first set of sarees are uploaded online and available now.

I can almost hear the repressed emotions!!

Well, just so that you know, none of the models work for us. They are from the manufacturer's. 
Except of course, the nameless, faceless model who wears a tri-colored saree, lol! She will be making another faceless appearance in a kurta and then, a surprise appearance in our accessories.

Sarees are among those clothes that need to be worn by a model or a mannequin to really showcase its colors and style. We haven't been able to do that for all our sarees, hence the samples to give you an idea of how it'd look.

We will have to let our faceless model work overtime if we need to drape all sarees over her!!

Well, for now, I begin this trail serving my beautiful country - Malaysia! Being a Malaysian, I see the need for authentic trendy Indian wear at prices you'd only find in India.

Anything from sarees to salwar material to kurtis and accesories, now, we bring India to Malaysia at harga runtuh!  We save you the trouble of flying to India only to shop, or pestering every other relative/friend to shop for you. 

Setengah produk kami lebih murah daripada harga yang anda dapat di kedai komersial di India. Selain daripada itu, kami juga hanya membeli pakaian yang berkualiti! 

(For those who don't follow the language, I just said our quality and prices are quite competitive when you compare them with showrooms in India.)

Introduction

Our maiden journey begins with the mysterious land of India. We start here simply because it is the one country with an array of diversity in cultures, languages, landscapes and more interestingly, for us, FASHION !

The one thing I am thankful for in this modern age is so beautifully summed up by the Dalai Lama who said,
                   
                  "Today, different ethnic groups and different nations come together due to common sense." 

 And if I may add, FASHION.

Yes, It's true!

Today, you're not always right about a person's roots just judging by their clothing. Most of the major cities around the world have become a melting pot of languages, races, fashion and now it is quite normal for an Arab to wear a saree or an Indian to wear a baju kurung. Hence, the term 'melting pot' is quite literal, and now it is possible for two people with different mindsets or creeds to come together as one. It is possible for humans to be more understanding of the other and more tolerable. Fashion now transcends borders, castes, creed and brings them all to a common creative platform. Maybe, silently it is doing its work in bringing peace in some way!

  एथनिक ट्रेल is the literal phonetic translation of Ethnic Trail in Hindi. 

(Hindi is the national language of India)
